Summer Begins

Alright, well time for my first update since getting back from Stanford:

Delaware's great--much greener and generally more beautiful than I remember it. Driving around, especially in the valley, has been extremely relaxing.

As far as the people go, friends seem to be fine, and family is pretty much the same as always. I've hung out with Mike and Charlie the most, and have been trying to get in touch with more Tower Hill people except most have already started work. As for me, I don't start work until July 1.

That said, I went in for a work meeting today (I work in the University Relations department of Wilmington University, for those of you who don't know), and got the skinny on plans for the summer. Audio-intensive work for TV spots has largely been cut in favor of minor video tweaks (commercials have already been shot), radio spots, etc. In other words, I get to try my hand at a wider array of skills this summer, which is precisely what I was looking for.

Anyway, as I said, I don't start 'til July 1 as I'll be at Myrtle Beach with Mike circa June 23rd. That is sure to be a lot of fun. Maybe I can finally work on my tan (Stanford was a little too work intensive to really take advantage of the Cali sun).

So... yea. I guess that's about it. Piper's in Jamaica until Sunday, so we only get to talk via one email a day and about 10 minutes of IM conversation (internet use is a cent a second down there!)
